I Love Simply Scrappin' Kits

When it comes to handmade Christmas cards, they need to be fast and I haven't found anything faster or easier than using a Simply Scrappin' Kit to make cards. This year I used the I Wish Kit(112193, $19.95) to make more than 50 cards. I did have to use about 8 extra peices of cardstock and I added some accessories here and there but I'm really excited with the results. Halloween at Stampin' Up!

Halloween is always big at Stampin' Up! but this year it was bigger and better than ever. Each year we have costume contests, baking contest, and carved pumpkin contests. This year we had lunch and a haunted house--so it was for sure the best yet. On top of that, the marketing team won the team costume contest. We dressed up like Thriller! We had awesome decorations, thanks to Michelle & Liz for organizing everything and a choreographed dance, special thanks to Phil for teaching us! :) I thought it would be fun to share a little of it with you. Hope you enjoy!

Simply Creative Samples

Some stamp sets are really great in the catalog. Then you buy them and think, what am I going to do with this? That happened with this one, Frames and Flourishes. The first few times I tried it I would stamp one of the frames on plain card stock and then cut out another image to layer over the stamped frame. Kind of cute and kind of a lot of work. My friend Shannon shared this idea with me that is so simple and lots of cute. I love that it is stamped on an oh so light Pink Pirouette designer series paper.--the stamped greeting and frame still show up but it isn't as stark as it would be on white card stock. The complete card can be made in 5 minutes or make a whole stack of them in an hour and have a stack of cards ready to use for any occasion.
